Jerry Hounchell

As Director of Human Relations, Jerry leads all Human Relations efforts to promote a collaborative, engaged, and connected employer/employee environment. 

Prior to assuming his current role, his experience spanned defending the United States as a Colonel in the United States Air Force, Director of Business Development at FASCOR, and managing business operations with both Target and Macy’s. Jerry’s Air Force experience as a B-52 pilot focused on leading, training, and equipping Airmen in support of worldwide B-52 combat operations. His leadership experience, passion for excellence, and belief in teamwork are key to establishing and executing United’s Human Relations programs.

Jerry has been married for over 30 years, and has four boys and one grandson. He enjoys road biking, camping, sporting events, and traveling. Jerry is also actively involved in multiple activities/roles at his church.

Jerry has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, an MBA from Louisiana Tech University, a Master of Strategic Studies from the Air War College, and a Master of Operation Arts & Sciences from Air Command and Staff College. He also has over 4,500 hours in B-52, T-38, and T-37 aircraft.
